Xiamen's Gulangyu Island welcomes global tourists attracted to its cinematic charms
Southeast China's Xiamen city is known for its beautiful coastlines. It's also favored by movie directors... with many romantic love stories filmed there. CGTN reporter Wu Bin follows an Italian photographer to explore the city's cinematic charms.This is Gulangyu Island. A tourist spot in southeast China's Xiamen city that's appeared in many films, especially romantic movies.
HEROS DI BARTOLOMEO Photographer from Italy，first came to China in 2011, and decided to settle in a nearby city called Quanzhou four years later. This time, he's travelling with his wife and they've found many romantic locations that have appeared in films on Gulangyu Island. On the train back home, Heros found a special carriage themed "China Travel with Chinese Films." The train conductor says the carriage is mainly for children to enjoy, and helps reduce interruptions to other passengers. It currently features decorations from the recent box office block buster – Ne Zha 2.
